The additional information section was very helpful to me when applying to schools. I was suspended in my junior year of high school, but was all around a really great student, holding student government positions and other leadership roles. In my additional information section, I attached a letter from the vice-principal at my school that was a sort of 'redemption' for what had happened at that time, and assurance that I'm not that type of student. The additional information section is a great way to comment on anything that you may think was unclear when filling out the rest of your application.

Anything that can make you stand out. The more you stand out on an application the better your chances are of getting accepted. List awards you have, prizes, science projects, clubs and anything else that makes you sound special. Even if it seems unimportant to you, it could make all the difference in the application process.

If you need to explain anything on the application it would go here. For example if you took time off after high school and held a full time job. This shows them that you can be dedicated but may not be reflected elsewhere.

Perhaps besides your excellent GPA, you want to express your profound love of specifically physics and your desire to further your love of physics at their university. Here is where you express all the intangibles that the rest of the application doesn't pick up.

I would add any clubs or advents I have done. Maybe you put down church events you helped with and went to. Maybe you have done some volunteered somewhere, I would put that in the additional info. This could also be a section where you put why you think you should get into there college. You could talk about what education means to you.
