As a graduate of Grinnell, I have to say I have nothing but good things to say about the experience I had there. The professors were excellent. I attended SUNY Albany and then transferred, and I learned more in a semester at Grinnell than I learned in a year at Albany. Most professors seemed to really enjoy what they were teaching, and their enthusiasm was infectious. Getting help outside of class was never a problem. Classes were intense and enjoyable. The liberal arts atmosphere was wonderful, providing the opportunity to meet and get to know people with all kinds of varied interests. It was also wonderful to go from having no major at Albany to having two majors at Grinnell, English and General Science. I gained a great educational background without having to narrow my area of interest before I was ready.
Go visit the college before you apply. Make sure you can see yourself there, but I'm pretty sure everyone would love it. I know I did.
