The best thing about Northeastern is the location and the campus. I absolutely love being in Boston and experiencing the city. The campus, although still connected to the Boston atmosphere, is definitely a college campus and still has that feel. In addition, one of the best things about Northeastern are the professors and the classes. Our professors are incredibly accomplished in their fields and have so many experiences to share. Co-op is also an amazing program which initially got me here. As a freshman, I have yet to take part but I am excited for this opportunity. Other colleges will say that internships are basically the same thing as co-op but they're WRONG. Co-op is unique to Northeastern. Our career services department is #1 in the nation!
I would say that unless you're an incredibly outgoing and friendly person, the social life is the worst thing about this school. Don't expect to make a ton of friends at first unless you put yourself out there. I kinda lied to myself and said that I was outgoing when I really am not. You have to be willing to put yourself in awkward positions which at first I wasn't. I've made friends through student groups I'm involved in but that's really the only way to make friends. You can meet someone one day and never see them again on campus because so many people go here. That's just the way it is.
Yes, It's an incredible school academically with incredibly facilities. I couldn't picture myself anywhere else.
