The students are what makes the school unique. It's different type of college culture though that is changing every year with the rapid expansion. This school cares about academics. It is well respected among Texas public schools. I love the fact that Greek life is virtually non existent here. It makes up about 5% of the student population so really it's not big deal to go greek. If you do its a small community so you get to know a little bit of everyone. (take that how you want to)
The student life here is lacking but building. As more and more students live on campus the more it feels like a real university. So if you looking for a crazy party life style, it's here but you have to know where to look pretty much.
Yes, Well UTD has been pretty generous with scholarships in the past. I'm not sure how much of that has changed but yea if I got to go here on a full ride definitely would do it again.
