Ashland University is a mid-sized, comprehensive private college located only a short distance from Akron, Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 1878 by members of the Brethren Church, Ashland University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents to grant bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.
Ashland University's philosophy of "accent on the individual" is built upon four basic principles to create an individualized approach to education. The principles are that education should be focused growth and development, recognizing that students have varying rates of growth, understanding that students come from different backgrounds, and out of the classroom educational experiences are necessary.

The petite setting Ashland has to offer is the best part about the University. I see the same faces all across campus and have the joy to get to know each of those smiling faces.
The location could be an ordeal because of the street noise; however it is also an upside. The students are able to enjoy the short distance to purchase delectable edibles.
More than 70 Ashland students have become pen pals with a local elementary school.
