The Associated Technical College-Los Angeles was established in 1967, and specializes in short-term vocational training. This technical college is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology, and has been approved for business by the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. Unlike other vocational colleges, the Associated Technical College-Los Angeles offers two programs at 720 clock hours, or 30 weeks, which is designed to quickly educate students and prepare them for the workforce. Telecommunications Technology and Medical Assistant/Cardiac Technician are the two programs offered at the college.
To be admitted into either program at the Associated Technical College-Los Angeles, students must be at least 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or GED. All incoming students must pass the entrance examination prior to being accepted into the school.
