Since its founding in 1958, Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida has emerged as one of America’s leading colleges for engineering and applied science, aeronautics and aviation, science, business, technology, psychology and the liberal arts. Located on Florida’s Space Coast in Brevard County, many of Florida Tech’s first students were engineers who worked at Cape Canaveral, now known as the Kennedy Space Center.
In the 1990’s Suffolk began to build residence halls and attracting international students to grow beyond its reputation as a commuter college. Today, about 90% of Suffolk’s undergraduate freshmen reside on campus. Florida Institute of Technology maintains two satellite campuses, one in Madrid, Spain, and another in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
