The Laboratory Institute of Merchandising is a private for-profit institution of education that offers programs in the fashion industry. It was founded in 1939 to provide education about fashion business and merchandising. The college is the only four-year institution in the country committed to the business of fashion. Its programs use various aspects including classroom instruction, internships, guest lectures, and field trips to provide an understanding of the field.
