Entrepreneurial approach to everything. You can do whatever you want. People are very focused on their own extracurricular, which can be anything in the world. The sports program was awesome, too....
There isn't a ton of "school spirit". There are even running jokes that are very popular about how much we "hate" MIT. I'm pretty convinced, though, that it's just a self-deprecating tactic to try...

Stellar programs in math and science. Anyone who chooses to attend MIT should expect to get a job anywhere s/he pleases.
Honestly, there's nothing Bad about MIT - but don't go here if you're looking for a big sports school (but this should be obvious).

You will learn an incredible amount here, not just in class but from the people around you. The culture is unique, and not to be missed. I would go back in a heartbeat.
It will be the hardest 4 years of your life. You will spend hours each week on problem sets. You WILL learn to manage your time. No matter how smart you are, there will be people who make you feel...
