Pima Medical Institute is a national chain of schools that has been training students in healthcare professions since 1972. It now has 13 schools, including Seattle that was established in 1989.

Pima Medical Institute-Seattle offers certificate programs in dental and medical assisting, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy technician and veterinary assisting. It offers associate degree programs in mortuary science, physical therapy assisting, dental hygiene, radiography and veterinary technician.

Pima Medical Institute as a whole is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. The Seattle school is licensed by the Washington State Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board and approved for training veterans by the Washington Veterans Service Commission. Each program area also is accredited by subject; for example, the physical therapy assistant is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association.
