The facilities here are top-notch, certainly rival any major university. The campus is gorgeous even though the area is so lame and desert-y. I think Pomona's advantage is that there are a lot of...
The worst thing about Pomona is the weather in my opinion. I'm from the Bay Area where the weather is perfect, not especially dry or humid, hot or cold, but at Pomona it is basically a desert for...
Pomona College is a great place to go if you're looking for a small, personalized college experience. The faculty are great and there are few "bad" faculty members. You do find them, but for the...
Faculty is friendly and accessible, but administration officials are aloof or, at best, condescending; opportunities for the non-privileged are few and nonexistent, especially when it comes to...
The intelligent students and the close relationship with faculty.
Local fraternities and extra-mural sports.
I wish I knew Nothing. Once you get in and decide to come, they take great care of you. Freshmen are in sponsor groups, which serve as a friendship network for the first few days as you meet people. Some spo gros are really close, and others are not, but it was good to have an automatic group of friends for the first week.
Every student at this school needs Shorts, flip flops, and a nice, relaxed attitude
Another awesome thing is Every weekend, students receive an email that lists all the activities and parties planned on and off campus for the whole weekend. The freshmen get to go on an oreintation adventure (aka small vacation) during the first week. The dorms are huge. The food is great. Everyone is nice. You learn a lot in your classes, but they aren't super hard. My list could go on and on :)
