Post University was founded in 1890 in Waterbury, Connecticut. Post University offers 17 different undergraduate degree programs and also has an excellent online accelerated degree program (ADP) for working adults looking to complete undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates. These accelerated degree programs are offered online and during nights and weekends. Roughly 800 students attend the campus while nearly 10,000 more take advantage of online programs.
Post University is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.
Post University offers associate's degrees in accounting and early childhood education. At the bachelor's level, there are a variety of programs which include accounting, biology, business administration, child studies, computer information systems, criminal justice, environmental studies, environmental science, equine business management, finance, human services, legal studies, management, marketing, psychology, sociology, sports management, accounting, and early childhood education.
Certificates can be earned in forensic accounting, finance, game design and animation, human resource management, and paralegal.
The university also offers graduate programs which include human services, higher education administration, teaching and learning, instructional design and technology, and public administration. Recognizing the need for flexibility in scheduling, Post University also offers online master's degree programs in leadership concentration, finance concentration, marketing concentration, multidisciplinary concentration, project management concentration as well as providing online alternatives for all of the other graduate degree programs previously mentioned.
