The best thing about SUNY Albany is how many courses are offered. You can take a variety of classes for a variety of interests. The campus seems very easy to navigate.
The only downside to this school is that it is a university so there are a lot of students. You may be in classes in giant lecture halls with hundreds of other students.
Alot of social things to do. Thousands of clubs but not as much greek like as most colleges in the area.
Alot of party areas around the school. If you are staying in it is very loud and sometimes hard to sleep.
the food and dorms
There are so many internship opportunities if students really put forth the effort to find them.
It is almost impossible to get any answers from financial aid. Also, the server UA uses to pay your tuition bill online almost always shows the incorrect amount due. It takes about 3 weeks for this...
The social life.
The size of its classes, and academics in general.
You can get a great education and still have a ton of fun.
If you don't like big classes, I'm talking classes of 200+ then this is not the school for you.
The only good thing is the short distance from the dorms to the classes
Its cold, boring, full of imature kids, theres nothing to do during your free time except go to the gym, the food sucks, the party area is ghetto, no school pride.
The social life is great. The people are pretty cool and open. There's also a lot of activities such as clubs and there's something going on everyday so you can never be bored. I feel fairly safe...
Some of the professor's don't really teach you and you have to learn on your on.
The best thing about this school is that it is attended by student from all over the world.
It doesn't offer many scholarships to students.
