The best thing about the school is the wide array of courses available. I would most certainly attend the school again. I would not hesitate to hire students from the University of Florida.
The worst thing about the school is the large size. I would suggest new students join groups to get more involved.
The campus activities are the best thing about UF. There is always something to do and there is always something for everyone. If I could I would defintiely enroll here again and I would...
The worst thing about the school is they lack enough advisors for students. With such large student population you can find yourself waiting in line for over an hour to see an advisor. I would...
the academics were challenging for me, the football scene is incredible.
its hot in the swamp.
The University of Florida offers academic challenges in sunny Gainesville. It is a leading research institute with a variety of opportunities for students in that field.
UF is known as a party school and students considering attendance should be capable of withstanding peer pressure and be ready to make mature decisions without parental supervision. The humidity...
I loved the greek life. I would go again. I would also hire students from there. It is a great university.
I did not like the campus lay out. It was hard to maneuver. I would tell students to bring a bike.
UF is a larger sized school in a college town with a strong sports program and an abundance of activities for students on and off of campus.
If you are planning on spending your summers in Gainesville as well, you need to be aware of the fact that it is a traditional 'college town' and becomes much more vacant during the summer months.
Insanely hot in the summer
Not much of anything
The teachers in the undergraduate classes in my major (journalism) were amazing.
The graduate advisors are complete morons for the most part, and you can't walk around campus without being almost molested by some idiot trying to get you to go to a club or vote in a stupid...
Some of the classes are very large due to the number of students, but you can still do well utilizing the TA's/study sessions and just attending class.
The football team - Go Gators!
Having to go to class, studying, and taking exams.
The student life and academic levels
The best thing about UF is definitely the atmosphere on campus and the school spirit. It is very easy to get involved in almost any kind of organization or club depending on your interests. I also...
The worst thing is definitely parking on and around campus. It is so hard to find parking at almost any time during the day, and the parking police are quick to give tickets. Tow trucks roam around...
They have about everything from hard science to philosophy, Accounting to Zoology. Plenty to do that is not too far away. There are all kinds of people from everywhere. I understand they have a...
It is BIG, and during the summer it is HOT. It can be easy to get lost if you aren't persistent.
The school is so diverse and anyone can fit in. You can learn about new cultures just by walking around campus and looking around you.
The worst thing is... that the experience is short.
The academics and school pride.
The location. Gainesville is not very exciting.
The Gator Nation! Being a part of the Gator Nation means not only wearing orange and blue at a football game, but wearing it proudly wherever you go. The pride that everyone feels for this school...
Parking on campus. There isn't really any parking during the day unless you live on campus. However, there is a great bus system that is free for students that will take you just about anywhere...
The best thing about about the University of Florida is the whole package. You get a great education, you feel like you are part of The Gator Nation, and at the end of a great experience, you have...
It is a very large university and some of the undergraduate classes had hundreds of students attending in a large auditorium.
UF has a lot to offer; however, they fall short when it comes to treating students fairly. Professors could care less about students and care too much about bragging on their qualifications.
