The diversity is incredible, and the people there are so nice!
The area of town that it is located in.
University of Houston is right next to Downtown Houston which is great. If you're a business major, there's your future. If you're a performing arts major, Houston is a great place to get started....
Housing isn't so hot. It's cheaper to get an off campus apartment, but then you have to deal with parking. A lot of parking lots have been destroyed for "new and improved" buildings, when it seems...
The best things about the school is that their is a sense of community and people who go there really are involved. I would definitely return because the city of Houston is great and the college...
The worst thing about the school is the surrounding neighborhood can be better. The neighborhood was really old and seemed to be not one of the best parts of town.
Another awesome thing is One thing people sometimes forget about UH is that it is situated in the heart of the 4th largest city in the US, so there are always things going on. I remember spending a large chunk of my food money on concerts & the like. Also be sure to go to the Inprint readings. They are phenomenal. They usually occur off campus though, so you either need to have a ride to get there, or actually now UH has cars you can check out.
I wish I knew One thing I wish I had known? Better time management.
