It combines a small liberal arts school with a medium sized research institution - you get the best of both worlds - small classes with excellent professors and great opportunities for doing...
When I graduated in 2005 there was no official student union and a major housing crunch (most frosh were in triples). Since then a brand new student union has opened along with new residential...
This school is situated on a beautiful campus, right on Lake Champlain. The professors are fabulous. The school has a history that is amazing to learn about.
The ridiculous price tag!

I wish I knew Total expense over 4 years
Another awesome thing is If you ski or snowboard, you are NOT alone! The ski and board club is the largest club on campus and they organize everything from buses to mountains, Christmas break trips and BBQs at the mountains. You have over 4 main mountains to choose from all offering great deals and, of course, Vermont skiing is incredible.
Another awesome thing is The library was very large compared to other universities of the same size.
Every student at this school needs A reusable water bottle! Not everyone that goes to UVM is a tree-hugger, but most everyone recognizes the fact that taking care of our environment is important. And if you don't have one, don't worry...there are tons of events at the beginning of the year where you can be sure to pick one up for free!
I wish I knew I wish I had known more about the programs that the University offers. I changed my major quite a few times and while this is pretty normal for a college student, I think I could have avoided one or two of the changes if I had researched more about what classes and programs the school has to offer. UVM's website is very easy to navigate and there are plenty of advisors to help with any questions or concerns!
