It has a reputation for creating the most African-American med students (or whatever the shirt says). It's also small, which means that the class size is small and everything is more personal.
A lot of the pre-med and pre-pharmacy track students are very one-track minded. They don't understand what it means to pursue a liberal arts education and are condescending at times. There's also...
The welcoming atmosphere and the accessibility and motivation from teachers.
There is very little parking, and the surrounding area is a little sketchy.
Every student at this school needs a car!
I wish I knew Everything! Even though I don't like sports that much, attending the games is sometimes the only thing to look forward to. However, the main sport is basketball (there's no football team). Also, there is a tennis team and track & field, but there aren't any courts nor a track on campus.
Another awesome thing is Basically, your involvement determines what you get out of your experience. I've noticed that the people who complain the most are the ones who do nothing but study and stay in their rooms talking about how this will get them into medical school. (FYI: This won't. Med schools want more well-rounded individuals and will definitely choose the people with good academic standing AND are involved in college life or the community. They do understand if you have a job.)
